How much does CPU speed matter for games? Intel i9-10900K vs AMD Ryzen 3 3300X | Upscaled


Look, we know this isn't fair. We compared Intel's new flagship 10-core chip against AMD's 4-core 3300X. In almost any workload there would be no contest, but we wanted to see how these chips performed in three AAA games: Gears of War 5, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and Red Dead Redemption. The GPU tends to matter so much more for game performance than the CPU, will we see a difference between these two chips? Stick around to the end for some thoughts on the i9-10900K as well.
